What’s a football game without a marching band?

The Chatham High School Marching Band season ends.

A little less exciting…that's what!

The Chatham High School Marching Band led by Brian Conti not only entertains everyone at the football games with music and visuals, they also compete with other bands around the state.  The band competes in the US BANDS circuit in Group 2 Open class.

This year the band had 44 musicians and 10 color guard members performing “The Storm” led by drum majors Billy Arnuk and Emily Smart.  In their recently concluded competitive 2013 season, the band took 2nd place at The Roxbury Invitational and high honors for Music Effect, Visual Performance and Overall Effect.  The band took 1st place and all special awards at the Yamaha Cup at Met Life Stadium, and took 2nd place and high honors for music performance at the Hillsborough Invitational.  The marching band concluded their competitive season at the New Jersey Group 2 Open US Bands NJ State Championships at Rutgers Stadium.   The band placed fourth overall out of six bands with third place finishes for the color guard and music performance.
