To clarify any confusion from the postings that have been made up to this point on the Patch regarding the status of Glen Wild Lake Association’s tax payments for its Clubhouse and grounds, make no mistake that these elements are being taxed by the Borough. It is correct that there is no separate tax lot for the Clubhouse. Glen Wild Lake Association is a condominium and as such its clubhouse and grounds are common elements and by definition are not considered a separate lot, but these common elements are still taxed by the Borough. In addition to paying for the operations and maintenance of the Clubhouse and all common elements of the Association, each Unit Owner of the Association is paying their share of the property taxes for the GWL Clubhouse, its grounds and other GWL common elements in their individual property tax payments each year. Also note that GWL's tax returns and accounting methods are supervised by a CPA who prepares the proper tax returns and advises the Association of compliance with local, state and national tax and accounting laws on a regular annual basis.
Thank you, Doug Crisman, President GWL Association
