KinderCare Center Approved at Parrot Mill Inn
Child care center agrees to preserve Parrot Mill Inn, promises parking lot will be effective.
The Chatham Borough planning board unanimously approved the preliminary and final site plan for a KinderCare Learning Center facility on the Parrot Mill Inn property during its Wednesday meeting. The application for the child care center, which would hire about 18 employees, was passed with a number of conditional resolutions, including the preservation of the Parrot Mill Inn and the restriction of use of that building by other businesses. The article made it appear that I (Walter Nugent) was suggesting that people park on Parrott Mill Road to drop off their children. What I stated during the meeting was if the parking lot gets crowded parents may choose to park on Parrott Mill Road congesting the Main St. and Parrot Mill area with two way traffic trying to pass. more ›
