Unconscious Man Found With 30 Bags of Pot, Cops Say

A Berkeley Heights man was charged with drug possession in Chatham Friday after police said they found him unconscious and with 30 bags of marijuana at the River Grille on River Road. Jacquim Sperlazza, 25, was charged with possession of marjiuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, being under the influence of a narcotic drug, possession of Phencyclidine (also known as PCP) and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to a press release prepared by Chatham Police Ptl. Kevin O'Shea, police responded to the River Grille around 2 a.m. after Sperlazza was reported to have fallen. As for Mr. Schwab's comments, the gentleman charged with possession was INDEED served at the bar that night. There is simple proof of that if you properly review your numerous camera videos placed variously around your property.
