Chatham High School was named the best public high school in Morris County in Newsweek and Daily Beast’s annual ‘America’s Best High Schools’ list, released Monday. Chatham Borough Fire Chief Peter Glogolich was issued a summons for striking a pedestrian with his borough-owned vehicle. Retired Detective Lt. Kevin O'Shea said Glogolich, 51, was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk after he struck Lillian Garrison, 42, of Chatham on May 4. Writing on a bathroom wall at Woodmont Elementary School in Montville prompted a bomb scare and an evacuation of the school Wednesday morning while police and a bomb squad checked the building to be sure it was safe, police and school officials said. No bomb was found. Police have released a slideshow of an individual they are trying to identify who was on Finley Lane in Wayne at the time a home on that street was burglarized April 20.
