Hockey fans rejoice! After appearances by several popular NFL players, New York Rangers captain Ryan Callahan will appear at Legends Gallery on March 22. Callahan will give autographs to those with tickets between 7 and 9 p.m. Tickets range from $20 to $100, with $85 and $100 tickets including items such as pucks, flats and jerseys for Callahan to sign. Callahan made his NHL premiere in 2008, and was called back down to the American Hockey League three times before permanently being added to the Rangers' roster in 2008. He became the Rangers' 26th captain on Sept. 12, 2011, at the age of 26. He is the team's fifth youngest captain. It isn't always pretty. In fact, it rarely is. When the two top ice hockey squads in the New York-New Jersey metro area lace them up, it's always a spectacle. But it's never more so than when the matchups come in the playoffs. Of course, we're talking about the New Jersey Devils and the New York Rangers (sorry Islanders fans, but the '80s are behind us). The two NHL teams begin their best-of-seven Eastern Conference Finals series Monday night (8; NBC Sports Network) for the right to head to the Stanley Cup Finals.
