Don't be fooled by the fact that this winter storm shares its name with an adorable Disney character. Nemo is expected to drop as much as 10 in. of snow in the area, along with winds over 35 miles-per-hour until Satuday. That means if the power goes out, bucket trucks won't be able to start work until Sunday. The Chathams already have a couple of inches of snow, but unlike the classic song, the worst, not the best, is yet to come. The Library of the Chathams will open at 1 p.m. Saturday instead of the usual 9:30 a.m. because of the storm. As the nor'easter makes its way to the region, the Morris County Office of Emergency Management is keeping a close watch over the pending storm and warning residents to prepare. According to Jeffrey Paul, director of the Morris County OEM, snow will be scattered and light until Friday evening. "We are gearing up for additional snow, sleet and ice accumulations which will become steadier and heavier towards Friday evening as the colder air moves in resulting in the bulk of the anticipated snow accumulations," he said. "Forecasts suggest that this will be a long duration and intense storm which will likely last over a 24-hour time frame."
