Fairfield U. Names 7 Chathamites to Dean's List

The university requires a 3.5 GPA to make the Dean's List.

FAIRFIELD, CT-- Fairfield University has announced that the following local residents have been named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2012 semester: Fairfield University, a comprehensive Jesuit university in Fairfield, Conn., challenges its students to lead inspired lives of leadership and service. To be selected for the Dean's List, a student must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5, of a possible 4.0.

The Dean's List for Fairfield University's 2012 spring semester has been released, with several Chatham names on the rolls. Those residents of the Chathams who made the Dean's List this semester include: Grenner, Hill and Rasmussen also made the Dean's List in the fall 2011 semester, along with Cathleen Keating. To be selected for the Dean's List at Fairfield University, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 out of a possible 4.0. Fairfield University is a Jesuit university located in Fairfield, Conn.

Goepel, Guida Sign Letters of Intent

Katie Goepel to play tennis at Notre Dame, Guida will play lacrosse at Fairfield.

KATIE GOEPEL Katie Goepel does not follow the norm, even in her own family. One of triplets, her siblings Conor and Elise attended Chatham High School while Katie attended Kaplan College Preparatory, an accredited online school, her first three years of high school. While her siblings play several sports, especially soccer, Katie's sport is tennis and she has never played on a high school team. Last week, the University of Notre Dame announced that Goepel had signed a letter of intent to attend in the fall and join the tennis team. "I signed on Nov. 15," Goepel said.
