Happy Holidays! ... In October?
Target already has displays for Christmas and holiday decorations. Is it too early?
If you've been to the Target on Route 10 in East Hanover lately, you may have noticed some decidedly unseasonal decorations out. Nestled beneath a "spooky" Halloween board, complete with a haunted wood and a witch brewing ... whatever it is witches brew, there is a display of smiling snowmen and reindeer, angels trumpeting their joy and other Christmas and holiday-themed accouterments. And it's only Oct. 18, with two weeks left to go until Halloween, 19 days until the presidential election and five—count 'em, five—weeks until Thanksgiving. If Target is getting ready for the holidays, other local stores can't be far behind. Soon Starbucks will drop their pumpkin spice lattes for peppermint, the door to the CVS will be hung with garlands and…
