Chatham Township Police arrested Matthew Dudley, 22, of Chatham Township on Monday, April 16 on charges of assault and burglary. Chatham Township police officers responded to a 911 call reporting a domestic disturbance at a Meyersville Road, Chatham residence at 1:19 p.m. on April 16, according to a statement released by police Wednesday. The door to the residence was kicked in and unlawful entry was made by a man described as the resident's boyfriend, police said. When officers arrived, they learned that the suspect had fled into the woods, according to police. The Chatham Township Police Department arrested two Chatham residents on separate incidents of assault and criminal mischief Saturday. Sgt. Edward Gibney and Officers Michael Giannone and Scott Herchick responded to a residence on Meyersville Road Saturday morning at about 1 a.m., police said. Police responded because Morris County Dispatch received a 911 call where someone could be heard crying in the background before the call was disconnected, police said. Upon the officers' arrival, two male subjects were found in the driveway with bloody shirts, according to police. One of the men, Michael Adams, 24, of Chatham had extensive injuries, police said.
