Chatham Natives Graduate from Marist

Dean's List recipients, dance and theater recognitions also announced.

Four Chatham residents were among those who received their degrees at Marist College's commencement ceremonies the weekend of May 18 in Poughkeepsie, NY. Those local residents are: Marist also announced the students who were named to the Dean's List for the 2012 spring semester. Chatham residents included on the Dean's List are: Bernard, Ferenchiak, Galvin and Travers were also named to the Dean's List for the 2011 fall semester, along with: Two other Chatham residents excelled in Marist's art scene during the 2011-12 school year. Robert Peterpaul performed the role of Walter Rat in the play "Thumbelina," which played at Marist College for eight performances in late March. Chathamites Make U. of Delaware's Dean's List

Four students from the Chathams stand out in Newark ... Newark, Delaware, that is.

Four residents of Chatham have been named to the 2012 spring semester Dean's List at the University of Delaware. Those residents are: To make the University of Delaware's Dean's List, students must be enrolled full-time and earn a grade point average of 3.33 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Kriss and Orefice also made the Dean's List or other honors in the fall 2011 semester, along with: The University of Delaware was founded in 1743 and currently has a student body of nearly 17,000 undergraduates, 3,700 graduate students and 850 students in professional and continuing studies from across the country and around the globe.

Chatham Man Graduates Worcester Poly

Zach Garbowitz also made the Dean's List in his last semester.

Zach Garbowitz, a native of Chatham, graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). Garbowitz was one of 1,077 graduates to receive a degree at WPI's 144th commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 12. There were 718 bachelor's degrees, 349 master's degrees and 19 PhD. degrees conferred. The Graduation The keynote speaker was Roger W. Chatham Native Makes U. of Sciences Dean's List

Danielle Patterson is a master's student at the Philadelphia university.

Chatham native Danielle Patterson was named to the Dean's List for the 2012 spring semester at the University of the Sciences. Patterson is a student working towards a master's degree in occupational therapy. Students must complete and pass all classes with no grade below a "C" and maintain an grade point average of at least 3.4 to make it to the Dean's List. The University of the Sciences is a private institution located in Philadelphia, Pa. Since its founding in 1821, the university has provided education in science and healthcare-related fields. It is distinguished as the nation's first pharmacy and offers disciplines such as pharmacy, biology, physical therapy, healthcare business and health policy.

Chatham Students Earn Dean's Lists at St. Joe's

The Philadelphia university published its spring semester Dean's List.

Four students from the Chathams earned Dean's List honors in the 2012 spring semester at Saint Joseph's University. Those students are: Helfrich, Spinelli, Stram and Cherry also made the Dean's List in the 2011 fall semester, along with Zachary Curtis, another Chatham native who majors in Finance. To make the university's Dean's List, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or above, a B or greater in all their classes, and complete at least 15 credits in a semester. Saint Joseph's University was founded by the Society of Jesus in 1851 and offers a demanding yet supportive education to men and women. Chatham Native Graduates from Clark U.

James Wilson was honored for outstanding academic achievement in his last semester.

James Wilson, a resident of Chatham, recently graduated from Clark University in Worcester, Mass., where he also was named to first honors on the 2012 spring semester Dean's List. To be eligible for first honors, students must have a grade point average of 3.8 or higher, of a maximum of 4.3 (all A+s). Wilson received his bachelor of arts degree in Management from Clark University on Sunday, May 20 as part of the school's 108th commencement excercises. As part of the graduation ceremony, Clark awarded 546 baccalaureate, 520 masters, and 26 doctoral degrees. 3 Chatham Students Graduate TCNJ

The graduates, and five others, also made the spring semester Dean's List.

Eight students at The College of New Jersey from Chatham earned a spot on the 2012 spring semester Dean's List: To make the Dean's List, a student must carry 12 or more credits that semester and have a 3.5 grade point average or above. Chatham Native Makes SUNY Dean's List

Chelsea Allocco earned at least a 3.3 grade point average at SUNY New Paltz.

One Chatham resident was named to the Dean's List at the State University of New York at New Paltz for the spring 2012 semester. Allocco graduated from Chatham High School. Her major at SUNY New Paltz is computer science. She also made the Dean's List in the fall 2011 semester. To make the Dean's List at SUNY New Paltz, students must earn at least a 3.3 grade point average in a semester with a fulltime course load. Ninety minutes from New York City, SUNY New Paltz offers numerous majors in the areas of business, liberal arts and science, engineering, fine and performing arts and education. About 8,000 undergraduate and graduate students are enrolled.

Chatham Natives Earn FDU Honors

Dean's List, Honor's List come out with Chatham names on the rolls.

Several Chatham residents were named to Fairleigh Dickinson University at Florham's Honor's List for the 2012 spring semester. To be named to the Honor's List, students must be enrolled in a minimum of four classes and earn a 3.5 grade point average (GPA) or higher out of a possible 4.0.
