Chatham Resident Graduates from Gettysburg

Kyle Szajowkski completed his bachelor's degree in history; other residents make the college's Dean's List.

Chatham native Kyle Szajowkski graduated from Gettysburg College with his bachelor's degree in history. The commencement exercises took place May 20. The liberal arts college enrolls 2,600 undergraduate students. Notable alumni of Gettysburg College include Rhodes scholars and a Nobel laureate. Another Chatham native, Adam Weinbrom, was named to the college's 2012 spring semester Dean's Commendation List. The honor of being named to the commendation list is reserved for students who earn a grade point average of 3.33 or higher. Elizabeth Rouillard, also of Chatham, was named to Gettysburg College's Dean's Commendation List for the 2011 fall semester. Emily Smith of Chatham, a junior at Gettysburg College, spent her spring 2012 semester …

Chathamites Make Washington & Lee Dean's List

Dean's List requires a GPA of at least 3.4.

Washington and Lee University announced one student from the Chathams were named to their Dean's List for the 2012 spring semester. Nicole Ross is a member of the class of 2015 at Washington and Lee University. She earned a grade point average of at least 3.4 in the spring semester. Ross was also named to the university's Dean's List for the fall 2011 semester along with Brittany Ross, a member of the class of 2013. Washington and Lee University is a private liberal arts college located in Lexington, VA. The original school was founded in 1749 as Augusta Academy, renamed Liberty Hall in 1776, moved to its present location in 1780 as Liberty Hall Academy. It was renamed in honor of George Washington, who gifted $20,000 to the university, …

Chatham Students Make Villanova Dean's List

Fulltime students must earn at least a 3.5 GPA to make the Dean's List.

Villanova University in Villanova, Pa. recently announced their 2012 Dean's List. The list includes the following names of students from the Chathams: Several of these names also made appearances on the 2011 fall semester Dean's List. To qualify, students earn a semester grade point average of at least 3.5 while completing a fulltime course load. Chatham Natives Graduate from Miami University

Brian Ballard makes the Dean's List of the university.

Miami University of Ohio awarded 3,219 degrees to students at their spring commencement exercises on Saturday, May 5. Among those students were three natives of Chatham: One other Miami University student from Chatham, Brian Kingsley Ballard, was named to Miami University's Dean's List for the 2012 spring semester. Ballard also made the Dean's List in the fall 2011 semester, along with John Francis Armstrong, another Chatham native. The Dean's List is reserved for Miami University students who achieved a 3.5 or better grade point average. Such students are named to the dean's list to recognize their academic performance.
