Bingo Sir. I can’t speak for anyone but myself and I’m pointing my finger at the Chatham Police, not the Chief. The Chief I’m sure is a good guy and I’m sure he is as interested as the rest of us to see justice prevail, even if that means he gets a ticket or whatever for his careless action! I’m sure he’ll end up in a civil suit over this. Will Chatham ask its taxpayers to pay his legal costs? Is…   more ›

A U.S. Army major and his wife both pleaded not guilty to torturing and abusing their children on the Picatinny Arsenal military base during an appearance in federal court on Thursday, according to The Star-Ledger. John Jackson, 37, and Carolyn Jackson, 35, of Mount Holly, are currently out on $250,000 bail each. They have been ordered not to have contact with the adopted children they are accused of abusing or their three biological children after a 17-count indictment claims they abused two adopted kids for years by breaking their bones, withholding water from them, force-feeding them hot sauce and denying them medical attention. The alleged acts took place between August 2005 and April 23, 2010, U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman said. The …

Paul, I understand what you are saying and dont question whether the chief is a nice guy or not. I doquestion the motive of the police in ticketing non public servants for lesser crosswalkviolations, but when a public servant actually hits someone in a crosswalk, there is not even a warning given, let a lone a ticket. The police have now opened up a much borader issue of consistency and fairness …   more ›
