<p>Shepard Kollock Park is located on the banks of the Passaic River.</p>
<p>It is named after Shepard Kollock, who wrote and published the New Jersey Journal, a newspaper that promoted the Patriots during the American Revolution. Kollock published the newspaper from Chatham, and was often on the run from the British, who were trying to capture him.</p> <p>The park has a covered picnic shelter, an all purpose field, baseball, softball, a boat launch and a playground.</p>
