I too enjoy sitting at the bar and having dinner and one of my favorite things about Serenade is how lovely the staff is..always gracious especially the bartender who I think is wonderful and has become a dear friend! And everyone I know agrees! He is terrific! Cannot imagine describing him in the way the last reviewer did.

food is not that bad, although i rather enjoy sitting at the bar and having dinner. the only problem is that miserable, nasty and mean bartender. he ruins the ambiance in the beautiful restaurant.

My wife and I are foodies by nature and enjoy wine as well. We don't go out for fine dining as much as we used to before the children, but without question, Serenade is our favorite restaurant.
As a matter of fact, we believe that Nancy & James run possibly the finest restaurant in not only NJ, but the entire NYC area! The service is always superb, and James and his staff know good food and how to prepare it. When we want to splurge and get the best, Serenade has no equal in the area.
We enjoy other great restaurants as well, like Vine, Fiorino's, Harvest Group's, etc., and also feel they are fantastic, but if I had to pick the absolute best in the past 10 years, it would be Serenade. (And we have been to many in NYC as well as internationally). Can't say enough good things about them.
