The 28 members of the township's police department are divided into four patrol squads. Each consists of three patrolmen and a dispatcher and is supervised by a sergeant.
The squads each cover 12 hour work shifts and rotate amongst one another. The department also has a detective bureau, which investigates crimes reported directly to its members.
The department also issues firearms permits.
