Upcoming Teen Events at the Library of the Chathams

This May the Library of the Chathams has a variety of events for teens, from an open mic night to a visit from some popular young adult authors, as well as a chance for teens to explore volunteer opportunities this summer at the library.


Thursday, May 8 – 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Teen Game Night – Grades 6 to 12 – Drop-in to play Nintendo Wii or board games with your friends. Refreshments will be provided.

Thursday, May 15 – 7 to 8 p.m.

Teen Advisory Group – Grades 6 to 12 – Become involved in the library by volunteering to help with the planning of programs and events, as well as explore summer volunteer opportunities at the library. Refreshments will be provided.

 

Friday, May 16 – 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Young Adult Author Panel – Ages 12+ – Stop by to hear about books by Yvonne Ventresca, Rebecca Gibby, Charlotte Bennardo, Alison Ashley Formento, Lisa Colozza Cocca, and Lynn Maddalena Menna, as well as a discussion about the writing and publishing process.

 

Friday, May 23 – 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Open Mic – Ages 13+ – Bring your talents to this open mic, where you can perform a song or two or read something you’ve written. Refreshments will be provided.
