Septemberfest, New Shared Court Agreement This Week

Board of Ed, governing bodies to meet.

Joint Court: The Chatham Borough Council is scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the municipal building, 54 Fairmount Ave. A resolution "authorizing participation in the Joint Municipal Court" hosted by Madison is among the items on the agenda. The agreement still needs approval by all member towns and an assignment judge. The five communities would share the cost of running the court.

Board of Ed: The School District of the Chathams Board of Education is scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the school board office building, 58 Meyersville Road

Township Committee: The Chatham Township Committee, which recently flipped the switch on a new municipal website, is scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the municipal building, 58 Meyersville Road.

Septemberfest: The Chatham Athletic Foundation, an organization that works to improve K-8 athletics in the Chathams is holding an outdoor fundraising party Saturday after a similar event last year proved successful. Septemberfest is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28, from 7 p.m. to midnight, under tents at Firehouse Plaza. Hundreds of attendees are expected. The event is for adults over 21 and includes auctions, food, an open bar and live music. Tickets are $125.
