Cell Antennas Hearing, Board of Ed Meeting This Week

Toy drives also in week ahead.

The Chatham Township Zoning Board of Adjustment this week is expected to hear from engineers and other witnesses called by AT&T to testify about a proposal to install a dozen cell antennas on a water tank in a residential neighborhood.

Residents who oppose the plan filled the zoning board's first meeting on the application beyond capacity. At least one neighbor who lives next to the water tank and opposes the plan has hired an attorney.

The meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Chatham Township municipal building, 58 Meyersville Road.

Board of Education: The Board of Education for the School District of the Chathams is scheduled to meet 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the municipal building, 58 Meyersville Road.

Toy Drive: Chatham Township PBA #170 is asking residents to donate new, unwrapped toys for its annual toy drive.

The police union is accepting donations until Friday. All toys can be dropped off at 401 Southern Blvd., Chatham, NJ 07928.

The Chatham Borough Police Department is collecting donations for Toys for Tots.
