'Angels in America,' NFL Hall of Famers in Chatham This Week

School board, Township Committee scheduled to meet.

'Angels in America': The Chatham Players will begin its 92nd season this week with Tony Kushner’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play “Angels in America, Part 1: Millennium Approaches."

Performances start Friday and run through Oct. 26 at the Chatham Playhouse.

The play's "scope is huge, covering the AIDS epidemic, America’s shift to the political right, as well as grand themes of faith, loss, and identity," but, at the same time, is "heartbreakingly intimate," the group said in a news release.

Board of Education: The school board for the School District of the Chathams is scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Board of Education building, 58 Meyersville Road.

NY Giants Signing: Three Pro Football Hall of Fame members who were with the New York Giants when the team won the 1986 Super Bowl are coming to Chatham Saturday.

Head coach Bill Parcells and players Lawrence Taylor and Harry Carson are scheduled to appear at Legends Gallery on North Passaic Avenue from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, the sports memorabilia store has announced.

Chatham Township Committee: The township's governing body is scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the municipal building, 58 Meyersville Road.
