Township Fire Department Welcomes Fall with Oktoberfest

The annual family barbeque in Chatham Township raises money for the Fireman's Benevolence Fund.

Hundreds gathered at the Chatham Township Fire Department on River Road Saturday for the department's annual Family Barbeque and Oktoberfest.

The department opened up their trucks for curious young eyes, and even set up a play area with the hose for children to enjoy while parents socialized and enjoyed the burgers, hot dogs, roast pig and other food offered.

Local band Ten Foot Tall provided music, and kids who didn't want to get wet played in the inflatable house set up in the firehouse.
