County to Sponsor Comedy Night for Teens

Mark April 25 on your calendar.

Morris County teenagers 13 years of age and older and their parents are invited to attend a free Natural High Comedy Night and Book Signing on Wednesday, April 25 at 6:30 p.m. at the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy, 500 West Hanover Ave., in Parsippany.

The show will feature stand-up comedian and youth motivational speaker Dr. Matt Bellace and comedians Andy Pitz and Moody McCarthy.

Bellace will also be signing his book, “A Better High,” a humorous look at getting naturally high every day.

Admission is free for parents and teens and includes the show, a light dinner, a book for each teenager who attends and the book signing. Pre-registration is required since seating is limited. Pre-registration may be done online at www.morrishumanservices.org or by calling 973-285-6860.

The event is part of a Natural High Initiative started five years ago by Morris County Partners in Substance Abuse Prevention to show young people that they can achieve highs naturally, without the use of drugs or alcohol, by engaging in fun, uplifting activities.

The Natural High Comedy Night is supported by the Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders in collaboration with the Morris County Department of Human Services, the Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, Morris County Municipal Alliances, Morris County Partners in Substance Abuse Prevention and the Community Coalition for a Safe and Healthy Morris, an initiative of Morris County Prevention is Key.
