Weekend Sports Roundup: Girls' Lacrosse Remains Undefeated; Boys' Tennis Wins Tournament

Teams have a busy week ahead of them.

It was a busy Saturday for Chatham sports. Results were as follows:

  • The girls' lacrosse team defeated Oak Knoll, 15-11, to remain undefeated. The team will face Montville in an away game on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
  • The boys' tennis team won the Bryan Bennett Memorial Tennis Tournament at Delbarton, beating several teams 3-2 along the way. The team has a busy week coming up, beginning with a competition against Montville today at 4 p.m. at home.
  • Haverford beat Chatham in the Nike "Checking for Cancer" boys' lacrosse invitational in Haverford, Penn., near Philadelphia. After two straight losses, Chatham will attempt to bounce back against Hunterdon Central today at home at 4:30 p.m.
  • Chatham softball lost both its games during Saturday's Randolph Challenge—one to Morris Hills, one to Morristown. The team will face Madison today at 4 p.m at home.
  • Chatham baseball lost 8-2 to New Providence on Saturday. The team will also face Madison today at 4 p.m. at home.
  • Chatham girls' track finished with 10 points in the Morris Hills Relays on Saturday, while the boys finished with two points. The teams have a meet on Wednesday at Cougar Field against Pequannock and Hanover Park at 4 p.m.
