Victories for Girls Soccer, Field Hockey, Tennis
Boys and girls cross country place second, third in NJAC Championship.
Here is a look at how the sports teams from performed Monday:
- Girls field hockey defeated the Academy of St. Elizabeth 7-1 in Chatham
- Girls soccer defeated Morristown 5-1 in Morristown. Lina Proska scored 3 goals, with Jaclyn Leto and Emily Hoffman scoring 1 each. Emily Hoffman also had 2 assists, with 1 assist each from Maggie Higgins, Lauren Maiorano, and Kelsey Burke.
- Girls tennis defeated the Academy of St. Elizabeth 5-0 in Convent Station to clinch the Conference Championship, finishing undefeated in conference play.
- Boys cross country placed second in the NJAC Championship, second to Wallkill Valley which is currently ranked 10th in the state. All seven runners were in the top 30 out of 126 finishers.
- The girls cross country team placed third in the small schools race at the NJAC Conference Championship. Girls scored 96 points and were defeated by Mountain Lakes and Kinnelon. Several girls ran their best times of the season.
The folowing games are scheduled for Tuesday, depending on field availability and condition:
- Boys soccer takes on Morris Catholic High at turf at 4 p.m.
- Boys JV team takes on Morris Catholic High on the new Cougar Field at 4 p.m.
- Girls soccer travels to Morris Catholic High for a 4 p.m. game. Transport leaves at 2:50 p.m.
- Girls tennis takes on Scotch Plains-Fanwood at the tennis courts.
- Girls JV tennis takes on Scotch Plains-Fanwood at the courts at 4 p.m.
- Girls JV volleyball takes on Madison at Chatham High at 4 p.m.
- Girls volleyball plays against Madison at Madison High at 5:30 p.m.

Guest speaker Jack Renkens will speak on "The Realities of College Athletic Recruiting" on Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. at the Chatham High auditorium.

Boys and girls bowling teams have a meeting on Thursday, Oct. 27 in room A104 during lunch for students. Parents can meet with Coach Swartz at 9:30 a.m. in the teacher's lounge at Chatham High. The booster club meets on Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. at the Chatham High media center.
Parents of boys and girls swim team members can meet with Coach Steele on Nov. 1 at 7:15 p.m. in the Chatham High cafeteria. All parents are asked to attend.
