Track Tournament, Other Games Canceled Due to Rain

Girls lacrosse NJSIAA game still on against Jefferson.

After one day of fine weather Thursday, most Friday games have been canceled or postponed due to rain.

The 5-0 at the Brooklake Country Club in the semifinals of the NJSIAA Tournament on Thursday.

In Day One of the Morris County Tournaments for track, Jake Neumann broke the Chatham High School record (which he set in 2010) when he threw 167 feet, 7 in the discus throw. He finished second in the event.

Other highlights from the tournament included personal records for the following team members:

  • defeated Randolph, 165-183, in Chatham;
  • defeated Seton Hall Prep 8-7 in a home game; and
  • Girls golf team defeated Morristown 196-230 at the Pinch Brook Golf Course.

The following games are scheduled for Friday:

  • Girls lacrosse vs. Jefferson in the NJSIAA Tournament, 4 p.m. at Haas Field.

The following games were originally scheduled for Friday but have been canceled or postponed:

  • Boys varsity tennis vs. Parsippany, postponed to TBA;
  • Boys JV tennis vs. Seton Hall Prep School at 4 p.m. at Chatham Middle School, postponed to TBA;
  • Boys JV tennis vs. Parsippany, postponed to May 23;
  • Boys varsity and JV baseball vs. Morristown-Beard, postponed to TBA;
  • Girls varsity softball vs. Villa Walsh Academy, postponed to TBA;
  • Boys and girls track teams at the Morris County Championships, postponed to May 21.

The following games are scheduled for Saturday:

  • Boys and girls varsity track in the Morris County Tournament;
  • Girls varsity and JV softball vs. Hanover Park High at 11 a.m. at Lum Field.
