Tennis Shuts Out Irvington in States

Team leaders continue their winning ways.

How did your favorite Chatham High School sports teams do Thursday?

The girls tennis team has reason to celebrate as they shut out Irvington with a decisive 5-0 win in the NJSIAA opening round. Victorious in their respective positions were:

  • First Singles: Emily Sroczynski
  • Second Singles: Kendall Contri
  • Third Singles: Alison Ramsland
  • First Doubles: Ashley Perselay and Julia Edgar
  • Second Doubles: Jess Sullivan and Katie Howard-Johnson

The boys soccer team defeated Morristown 4-1. The game brings Chatham's unbeaten streak to six games. Brian Graham scored a hat trick and David Gill chipped in a goal. Michael Barber and Will Munn each had an assist. The Cougars travel to Morris Catholic on Sunday at noon for a second-round MCT game.
