Swimming Teams Win First Round at State Tourny

The boys and girls swim teams defeated their respective competitors in the first round of state tournaments Wednesday.

• The girls swim team defeated Red Bank Regional, 136-54
• The boys swim team defeated Caldwell, 115-54.
• The boys basketball team defeated Newark Academy in overtime 38-33.
• The JV boys basketball team defeated Newark Academy 58-55.

The following games are scheduled for Thursday, depending on weather and facility condition and availability:

• The indoor track teams compete in the NJSIAA North II, Group 2 Sectionals at the Bennett Center in Toms River ar 4 p.m.
• The girls basketball team takes on Madison at home at 7 p.m.
• The girls JV basketball team takes on Madison at home at 5:30 p.m.
• The JV ice hockey team takes on Morristown-Beard at Twin Oaks at 5:15 p.m.
