Rangers' Ryan Callahan Comes to Chatham Wednesday

Team captain will sign autographs and meet fans at Legends Gallery.

It may be the off-season for hockey, but Rangers fans still have reason to celebrate this week.

Ryan Callahan, one of the youngest team captains in the history of the New York Rangers, will appear at Legends Gallery from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday to sign autographs and meet the fans.

The event does require tickets for admission, which are still available on the Legends Gallery website. Tickets range from $20 to $100, with $85 and $100 tickets including items such as pucks, flats and jerseys for Callahan to sign.

Callahan, a native of Rochester, NY, made his NHL premiere in 2008. He was called back down to the American Hockey League three times before permanently being added to the Rangers' roster in 2008.

He became the Rangers' 26th captain on Sept. 12, 2011, at the age of 26. He is the team's fifth youngest captain. Callahan also played for the US Olympic hockey team in 2010, where he he earned a silver medal in the Vancouver winter games.
