Hockey Team Defeats Pingry

As the basketball, indoor track, wrestling and fencing teams get ready for their seasons to begin this weekend, the ice hockey team faced Pingry over the weekend.

The hockey team defeated Pingry 2-1 at the Union Sports Arena. Colby Collier scored in the fifth minute of play with an assist by Trip Burke, who scored in the second period with an assist by Scott Kepler. Goalie Jordan Boles had 17 saves.

The girls lacrosse team will hold an organizational meeting on Jan. 4 at 2:45 p.m. in the Chatham High cafeteria. All girls interested in playing lacrosse in spring 2012 should attend. Pre-season workout, preliminary schedules and spirit wear order forms will be distributed.

The NJSIAA has posted the grouping for the general classification sports.  Chatham again will be in North Section 2, Group III.
