Girls Basketball Heads to County Tourney

Boys follow with their county tournament game Saturday, and girls swim team head to state finals on Sunday.

The boys basketball team heads into their Morris County Tournament game Saturday on a roll after their 50-43 victory over Jefferson Thursday.

Also on Thursday, the JV boys basketball team was defeated by Jefferson 47-44.

  • After a 23-2 season, the top-seeded Chatham High girls basketball team takes on Jefferson Friday in the MCSSADA Championship Game at Fairleigh Dickinson University at 7 p.m. All presale tickets are sold out, but tickets are on sale at the door.
  • Dylan Mulcahy competes in the wrestling regionals at Union High School at 6 p.m.

The following games are scheduled for Saturday:

  • Tara Hanley and Anthony Malatesta compete in the NJSIAA Meet of Champions at the Bennett Center in Toms River.
  • The boys basketball team, currently 22-4, takes on Mt. Olive in the MCSSADA Championship Game at the County College of Morris at 7 p.m. All presale tickets are sold out, but tickets are on sale at the door.
  • The JV boys basketball team takes on Morris Hills in the Morris County Coaches Championship game at Morristown Beard at 11 a.m.

  • The undeafeated girls swim team takes on Haddonfield at the NJSIAA Group B state finals at The College of New Jersey at 2 p.m.


The Chatham High Athletic Booster Club next meets on Tuesday, March 6 at 6 p.m. in the Chatham High media center.
