Fire Trucks Escort Chatham Girls Back Home After Sectional Win

Trucks brought the team home to Chatham High School after team defeated West Essex, 47-46.

The Chatham girls' basketball team received a hero's welcome when it arrived home from North Caldwell after defeated West Essex, 47-46, in the NJSIAA Region 2, Group II finals tonight.

Chatham, the third seed, upset top seeded West Essex. The win was so monumental that Chatham fire trucks came to meet the team's buses as they approached Chatham High School. The trucks escorted them to their destination.

Brian Hart, whose daughter, Kelsey Hart, is a junior starter for the team, submitted this photo of the fire trucks riding next to the school bus tonight.
