Colony Platform Tennis Open House

There will be an open house for anyone interested in platform tennis on Saturday, September 29th from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Chatham Township’s Colony Recreation facility. The two platform tennis courts at Colony have just been freshly renovated, including a complete resurfacing and repair and strengthening of the wire screens. Platform tennis membership at Colony is open to all residents of the Chathams and surrounding communities. A single adult
membership is only $125 and a family membership is $200.  Players of all ages are welcome whether
experienced players or wanting to learn and try the game.

Platform tennis (aka paddle tennis) is a great fall and winter sport for exercise, competition and fun! The men’s paddle group plays weeknights and Saturday mornings from October through March, including fall and winter NJMPTA competitive league matches. The women’s group generally plays weekdays.  Instructional clinics for women will be available for beginners and novice players. Clinics are tentatively scheduled for Monday 12:30 – 2:00 PM and Wednesday 9:30 – 11:00 AM but the schedule is subject to change based on optimizing the number of participants.

The courts are lighted and are available to
members from 8 AM to 10 PM daily.
