Animal Tracking Program For Kids At Great Swamp

A two hour program on animal tracking for children ages 6 to 12 will be held Sunday at 1:30 in the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge visitors center, 32 Pleasant Plains Road Basking Ridge.

The event titled Let’s Go Exploring …with Ranger Dave will be led by U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Ranger David Sagan
at the Helen C. Fenske Visitor Center. Participants will learn about different animals and to identify their tracks and scat.  

The program will involve both indoor activities and outdoor exploration and those taking part should dress warmly.

Among the animals that the 7,800-acre Refuge is home to are deer, raccoon, longtail weasel, red fox, river otter and striped skunk.
