Cougars Fall in Multiple Games

Volleyball, field hockey, football and girls soccer lost matches Friday and Saturday.

The Chatham High School Cougars start a new week of games with some tough losses at their backs.

On Friday:

The volleyball team lost a thrilling three-set match 2-1 with West Morris Mendham. After the girls won the first set 25-23, Cougrs dropped the second set 31-29 and the third set 25-22. Leading the Cougars were Carolyn Johnson (14 assists, 8 digs), Arian Diaz-Saavedra (8 digs) and Rachel Prill (8 kills, 9 digs).

The girls soccer team lost to West Morris Mendham in overtime with a score of 2-1. Kelsey Burke scored the only goal for Chatham, whose record now falls to 2-4 on the season.

On Saturday:

The girls field hockey team list 2-1 at Morristown. Hannah Reader scored the loan Chatham goal on a cross from Kate Woodward. Chatham is now 4-2 on the season.

The football team fell to Morristown.
