Cougar Defense Shuts Down Wallkill Valley

An impressive running game moves Chatham to 2-0 this season.

Improving on their gameplan from last week's win, the Cougars' explosive offense led by quarterback Tommy Guida and the rushing attack of Cory Heidaran, coupled with a pressure defense, defeated Wallkill Valley, 19-0, at Cougar Field Saturday afternoon.

THEY SAID IT
"Our offense did a great job. We worked really hard all week on firing out and being explosive. And they did it today opening up some big holes for Cory Heidaran. Coach Izsa worked with the linebackers and our defensive ends to help us with pass coverage. We spent hours at recognizing formations, and so our guys knew where to go. With us only rushing four or three, that's big when you can get pressure on the QB."–Cougars Head Coach Don Morgenroth
