Cougar Classic Continues, Track Team Competes

On Wednesday Chatham saw an overtime defeat and a win in regulation in the Cougar Classic basketball tournament. On Thursday the action continues.

Chatham High School sports results from Wednesday:

• The boys basketball team was defeated in overtime by Millburn in the Cougar Classic. For more about the game, check .
• Girls basketball overcame Hunterdon Central, 53-40, in their Cougar Classic match-up.

Thursday's sports schedule:

• Wrestling departed on Thursday morning for a boys varsity tournament at Mountain Lakes High School.
• There will be a boys junior varsity consolation game at 1:30 p.m. and a junior varsity championship game at 3 p.m. for the Cougar Classic at Chatham High School.
• A girls alumni basketball game will be held at 6 p.m. at Chatham High School, followed by a boys alumni game at 8 p.m.

Friday's sports schedule:

• Boys varsity ice hockey is away versus Pequannock at Skylands Ice World at 11:30 a.m.
• Girls and boys varsity track teams will compete in an invitational tournament at Drew University beginning at 9 a.m.
• Cougar classic games will continue with junior varsity and varsity consolation and championship games throughout the day. Chatham girls varsity will host Columbia at 6 p.m. and Chatham boys varsity will host New Providence at 8 p.m.

Upcoming sports meetings:

• The Athletic Booster Club will meet at 6 p.m. in the Chatham High School Media Center on Jan 3.
• There will be a girls lacrosse organizational meeting at the Chatham High School cafeteria at 2:45 p.m. on Jan 4.
