Chatham Tennis Wins Morris County Tournament

Freshman Scarlett Blydenburg won first-singles final.

Chatham High School's tennis team won the Morris County Tournament Sunday for the first time since 2010, and freshman Scarlett Blydenburg rallied to win the first-singles final, according to the Daily Record.

Blydenburg defeated Mendham's Lauren Hassell, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, the newspaper reporter.

The Cougars secured their tournament victory after the semifinal round. Chatham's Sophia Fredriksson (second singles), Bridgette Hickey (third singles), Emily Sroczynski and Alison Ramsland (first doubles), and Katie Howard-Johnson and Laurel Hickey (second doubles) all won in the semifinals.
