Chatham Sixth-Grader Pins His Way Through Nutley Open
Connor Cortese is a varsity wrestler with the Chatham Youth Wrestling Club.
Chatham sixth-grader Connor Cortese won a gold medal at the Nutley Open Wrestling Tournament on Dec. 8.
Cortese, the only Cougar to compete in the tournament, pinned both of his opponents in the second period to win the championship in the 80 pound weight class.
The Chatham Middle School student is a member of the Chatham Youth Wrestling Club.
