Chatham's All-Pro Jet Not a Fan of Newark's Smell

Gang Green center Nick Mangold has choice words for town, but not the state.

Judging by his tweets, Nick Mangold prefers the smell of the Chathams to Newark.

The New York Jets All-Pro center, who lives in town, reportedly had some choice Twitter comments about the Essex County city on Wednesday.

Mangold tweeted at 10:08 p.m. on Wednesday from his Twitter account "Best part of driving back to NJ rather than flying even if it's a 9 hour trip instead of 1.5 hours? Not having 2 go thru the stank of Newark."

He made sure to let those who interacted with him afterward know that he meant no disrespect to New Jersey in general, just to the city with its largest population.

"haha I love the state, don't get me wrong. It's the smell of Newark that I hate," he tweeted six minutes after his first Newark-aimed comment.
