Chatham Paddle Tennis Players Recognized in Sports Illustrated

Congratulations to Chatham's Nicki Ross and Corey DeLaney, who won the girls' 18-and-under championship at the American Paddle Tennis Association's junior nationals last month for the second straight time. It was their fourth championship since the two have been playing together.

Sports Illustrated recognized the two in its issue this week that features Baltimore Oriole Matt Wieters on the cover and is dated March 15. The two were part of the national sports magazine's "Faces in the Crowd" section, which features athletes from across the country that have distinguished themselves through sport.

Ross, who is a junior at Chatham High, and DeLaney, who is a sophomore at Pingry, play at the Noe Pond Club in the township.
