Chatham Basketball Teams Sweep Cougar Classic Games
Both the boys and girls teams were victorious on Tuesday.
Chatham High School's girls and boys basketball programs defeated local rival teams on Tuesday in the Cougar Classic. Here are some scores from Tuesday's action:
- Girls basketball beat Oak Knoll, 47-20, in Chatham at the Cougar Classic.
- Boys basketball overcame Morristown by 13 points, winning 48-35 in the Cougar Classic.
- The Chatham High School ice hockey team lost to Hillsborough in the Jefferson Township High School tournament, 2-1.
Wednesday's sports schedule:
- Boys varsity wrestling is away at Mountain Lakes High School for a tournament.
- Girls junior varsity basketball will host Oak Knoll at noon. A 10 a.m. game is scheduled at Chatham High School between Columbia and Hunterdon Central and a 2 p.m. game is scheduled between Columbia and Oak Knoll. Girls varsity basketball will face Hunterdon Central at 6 p.m.
- Boys varsity basketball will host Millburn at 8 p.m.
On Thursday, consolation games for the Cougar Classic tournament will be held, with teams to be announced after Wednesday's results. Chatham's winter track team will compete at Drew University on Thursday as well, beginning at 9 a.m.
