Boys, Girls Soccer Win Tuesday Games

Volleyball team falls to Madison.

Sports teams from have a lot to celebrate after Tuesday:

  • The boys soccer team defeated Morris Catholic 6-1
  • The girls tennis team defeated Scotch Plains-Fanwood 5-0
  • The girls soccer team defeated Morris Catholic 5-2. Jaclyn Leto scored 2 goals, with Lina Proska, Emily Hoffman, and Maggie Higgins all scoring one each. Lina Proska added 2 assists, with further assists from Maggie Higgins, Kate Murphy and Milly Robinson.
  • The girls volleyball team was defeated by Madison (25-13, 25-18)


The following games are scheduled for Wednesday, subject to field availability and condition:

  • Girls field hockey takes on South Plainfield at at 4 p.m.
  • Girls JV soccer travels to Morris Catholic for a 4 p.m. game
  • Girls tennis takes on Kent Place at the tennis courts.
  • Girls volleyball team travels to Villa Walsh Academy for a 4 p.m. game.
  • Girls JV volleyball team travels to Villa Walsh Academy for a 5:30 p.m. game.

Guest speaker Jack Renkens will speak on "The Realities of College Athletic Recruiting" on Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. at the Chatham High auditorium.

Boys and girls bowling teams have a meeting on Thursday, Oct. 27 in room A104 during lunch for students. Parents can meet with Coach Swartz at 9:30 a.m. in the teacher's lounge at Chatham High. The booster club meets on Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. at the Chatham High media center.

Parents of boys and girls swim team members can meet with Coach Steele on Nov. 1 at 7:15 p.m. in the Chatham High cafeteria. All parents are asked to attend.
