Basketball Teams Continue Success

A regular update on how your favorite teams fared.

The basketball teams have cause to be happy after their weekend victories.

On Saturday:

  • The girls basketball team defeated Villa Walsh 55-36.
  • The boys basketball team defeated Delbarton 43-31.
  • The girls JV basketball team defeated Villa Walsh 45-40.
  • The boys JV basketball team defeated Delbarton 58-39.
  • The wrestling team lost to Columbia (45-27), North PLainfield (48-21) and Union (43-33).
  • The ice hockey team defeated Jefferson 9-1.
  • The boys JV ice hockey team defeated Summit 7-1.
  • The fencing teams competed in the Morris Knolls Tournament. The boys sabre team placed seventh.

  • The girls basketball team defeated St. Elizabeth 67-30.
  • The girls JV basketballk team defeated St. Elizabeth 32-19.
  • The indoor track freshman and sophomore teams competed in the Morris County meet. The boys sophomore team placed in eighth and the frosh team tied for 12th place. The girls sophomore team placed eighth and the frosh team placed third.
  • The boys fencing team fell to Hackettstown High School 15-12.
  • The girls fencing team fell to Hackettstown High School 17-10.

The following games are scheduled for Tuesday:

  • The JV ice hockey team competes against Kinnelon High School at 3:30 p.m. at Skylands Ice World.
  • The bowling team competes against Lenape Valley at 4 p.m. at Rockaway Lanes.
  • The ice hockey team competes against Sparta High School at 5 p.m. at Skylands Ice World.
  • The boys JV wrestling team travels to Pequannock High School for a 6 p.m. meet.
  • The boys wrestling team travels to Pequannock High School for a 7 p.m. meet.
  • The boys and girls swim teams compete against Pequannock High School at 6:15 p.m. at the Morris Union Jointure.
