A Victorious Wednesday

Chatham teams swept their Wednesday games.

On Wednesday:

  • The bowling team defeated Madison 5-2 at Plaza Lanes. Junior Bailey Bancroft fired two high games of 254 and 217 to help carry the day for Chatham.
  • The girls fencing team defeated Butler 20-7 in Butler. Notable performances include:
    • Elaina Clougherty 3-0
    • Hannah Tognola 2-1
    • Anna Jones 2-0
    • Lindsey Holzinger 2-0
    • Ananya Sitaram 2-0
    • Skyler Browning-Dorn 2-1
  • The boys fencing team defeated Butler 19-8 in Butler. Notable performances include:
    • Jake Burns 3-0
    • Jc Perrin 3-0
    • Quinn Burgunder 2-0
    • Hunter Stusnick 2-1
    • Michael Mulvaney 2-1
    • Hans Moller 3-0
  • The ice hockey team defeated Mendham 4-1 at Mennen Arena. Travis Terzer scored 1:05 minutes into the game with an unassisted goal. Trip Burke scored about 13 minutes later, assisted by Teddy Simson, and twice more in the second period with assists by Brett Montgomery and Coldy Gilsenan and by Colby Collier and Robert Graziano, respectively. Goalie Jordan Boles had 17 saves.

  • The boys swim team travels to Delbarton School for a 3:30 p.m. meet. Transport leaves at 2:15 p.m.
  • The boys JV ice hockey team travels to Twin Oaks Rink to play against Morristown Beart School at 4 p.m. Transport leaves at 2:50 p.m.
  • The boys track team competes in the Passarelli Invitational at Drew University at 4:30 p.m. Transport leaves at 2:45 p.m.
  • The girls track team competes in the Passarelli Invitational at Drew University at 4:30 p.m. Transport leaves at 2:45 p.m.
  • The girls basketball team competes against Delaware Valley Regional High School at 5 p.m. Transport leaves at 2:50 p.m.
  • The boys basketball team plays against Newark Vocational at Chatham High at 7:30 p.m.

The boys and girls swim teams are hosting a Holiday Food Drive. The food will be donated to the Interfaith Food Pantry of Morris County. There will be a food collection box in the high school main lobby during the week of Dec. 19-23.

There will be a meeting for all girls interested in playing lacrosse on Jan. 4 at 2:45 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. All those interested in playing in 2012 should attend. Pre-season workouts, preliminary schedules and spirit wear order forms will be distributed. If unable to attend, please contact Head Coach Deb Marriott.

The Booster Club next meets on Jan. 3 at 6 p.m. at the Chatham High Media Center.
