Tom Belding Appointed BOE President—Again

This will be Belding's second year as president of the Board of Education.

Moments after he was sworn in for his second full term, Thomas K. Belding was unanimously appointed by his fellow members to the role of Board President for the 2012-13 year.

Board Member Richard Connors, the outgoing board vice president, nominated Belding for consideration. Board Member John Nonnenmacher seconded the nomination.

No other names were put forward for consideration, and all nine members voted for Belding.

Also unanimously appointed was Jill Critchley Weber to the role of vice president. Board Member Lata Kenney nominated Weber and Nonnenmacher seconded the nomination.

Weber is currently in her second of a three-year term on the board. This is her first time sitting on the board.
