School Board Plans to Interview Candidates Tuesday

President: Three will interview for vacated position.

The School District of the Chathams' Board of Education's Selection Committee will interview three candidates on Tuesday for an open position on the board.

The position was vacated by former Vice President Lora Yates, who announced at the board's Jan. 25 meeting that she is moving out of Chatham. She stepped down after the board's last meeting on Feb. 8.

Board President Roger Rogalin said in an e-mail that after the interview process is complete, "the finalist is expected to be sworn in" at the board's next meeting March 1.
