Lots and Lots of People

At first glance, it's hard to tell exactly what's going on in this photo—submitted by resident Kathryn Rogers—from the Chatham High School Fashion Show on Saturday. The show is the high school Parent Teacher Organization's only annual fundraiser.

But when considered further, the photo showcases just how many people showed up to the event. Organizer Jane Maltby estimated that 900 people came—a huge number. Just look at how many people are surrounding the stage, and multiply that number several times. Only then will you get a sense of how many people showed up to the event.

I'm a Chatham newcomer (I didn't grow up in New Jersey), but these large events seem like they happen relatively often here.
