Maurillo's Goal Leads Chatham Past Madison

All Cougar teams enjoyed wins on Monday.

sports fans have reason to celebrate after across-the-board victories Monday:

  • The girls field hockey team upset rival Madison, 1-0, on the strength of a Natalia Maurillo first-half goal. Kimmy Pyhel and Abby Brady combined for five saves for Chatham (8-3).
  • The girls volleyball team stopped Morristown-Beard 2-0 (25-8, 25-7) in Chatham.
  • The girls tennis team defeated Sparta, 4-1, in Chatham.

The following games are scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 11, but are subject to change based on field conditions and availability:

  • The girls tennis team plays Morristown in a state tournament matchup at at 4 p.m.
  • Boys soccer faces Hanover Park at at 4 p.m.
  • Girls soccer visits Hanover Park at 4 p.m.
  • Boys JV soccer plays Hanover Park at at at 4 p.m.
  • Girls JV soccer visits Hanover Park at 4 p.m.
  • Girls JV tennis faces Millburn at the at 4 p.m.
