Tickets for Saturday's performance are also going fast.

The story of how Elle Woods gets her groove back after being dumped by her boyfriend is resonating with Chatham audiences.

Chatham High School's production of "Legally Blonde" sold out for the Friday night performance--even the Standing Room Only tickets.

Tickets are still available for the 1 p.m. Saturday show, and the 7:30 p.m. Saturday show is close to selling out also.

Kelly Cole, who plays Elle Woods, and Dexter, who plays her dog Bruiser, will sit and sign autographs following the Saturday matinee performance at 1 p.m. "We thought that might appeal to some of the kids in the audience," Lynn Polan, the play's director said.

Based on the 2001 movie of the same name, "the story is of a California blonde sorority girl who gets dumped by her boyfriend," Polan said, and the "self-discovery story" is something anyone who has ever been dumped can relate to.
