German Exchange Students Wind Up Chatham Stay

The students stayed with Chatham families and explored the area as part of their U.S. trip.

Thirteen German exchange students and two of their teachers have spent the week exploring Chatham and the North Jersey area.

The students are spending their time with their Chatham host families, attended classes at Chatham High School, spent time exploring the borough's downtown area and spent time in New York City and with their host families.

Jennifer Zimmerman, a German teacher at Chatham High School, helped to organize and run the trip with the help of Herr Bunaschik and Frau Langkamp. She hosted a mixer in her classroom Monday during the Chatham High lunch hour, guided the students around Main Street and stopped in with them to place an order for Chatham sweatshirts at the Chatham Sports Shop and to snap some photos at the borough gazebo in Reasoner Park.
